Lovely friendly welcome. Lovely big fresh room, very clean. Dinner was excellent. Location was lovely with a super 3 mile walk to the Bothy tearoom which had beautiful homemade soup and bread and cakes too. Our dog was made to feel very welcome which really helps us feel welcome too. Great choices for breakfast and everything cooked fresh. Definitely recommend this lovely homely place.
The only suggestion I would make would be to put a warmer bulb into the bedside lamps as they are a cold bright white which wakened you up 😅.

Lovely location.
Room was absolutely tiny. Food was okay but more of the pub grub sort - burgers, pies, everything with chips - limited in options. No information provided about timing of dinner and kitchen shut abruptly at 8pm with about 10 minutes warning. Would have been better as a single night stop in a beautiful place, not really a hotel to feel at home in or to linger, sadly.
