The Alcalà Deluxe Suite is located in an 18th-century building of significant historical interest, built entirely in the Baroque style, in the historic center of Catania—5 minutes from the port, 6 km from Fontanarossa Airport, and just a short walk from the bus station. The property is situated right near all of the city’s major attractions. Additionally, the area is home to numerous traditional trattorias where you can enjoy the excellent dishes of Sicilian cuisine. The suite features a cozy and comfortable open-concept kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare a delicious breakfast (coffee machine, kettle, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, etc.), a large double bedroom, and a bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Of course, all rooms are equipped with a TV, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. The property also provides all linens, pillowcases, bedspreads, comforters, tablecloths, etc. In addition, the suite features a beautiful terrace with a panoramic view from which you can admire the entire historic center of Catania, Mount Etna, and the city’s harbor. The carefully renovated apartment is situated in a strategic location; in fact, it is close to several points of interest, including: Villa Pacini, the Ursino Castle built by Frederick of Swabia, the picturesque Pescheria market, Catania Cathedral, Palazzo Biscari with its adjoining museum—a magnificent example of Sicilian Baroque architecture—the Elephant Fountain designed by architect Giovan Battista Vaccarini, the home of the renowned Catania-born musician Vincenzo Bellini, and more.Near the property is a station for the metropolitan public transit system, whose lines provide excellent connections between the city and all neighboring provinces. The “Le Ciminiere” exhibition center is also easily accessible. Shuttle bus 457 runs from the airport and will take you right to the property without needing a taxi. We would like to inform our guests that check-in hours are from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Late check-ins from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM will incur an additional charge of 15.00 euros, while check-ins from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM will incur an additional charge of 20.00 euros. Check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM to allow staff to clean, sanitize, and prepare the accommodation for new guests; the property owners thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The property has a private parking space located within the building’s courtyard, at an additional cost of 10.00 euros per day; the cost increases for larger vehicles. In addition, we inform our guests that upon arrival, the City of Catania “City Tax” of 2.00 euros per day per person is due. Inside the suite, guests may enjoy bottles of red and white wine from excellent local vineyards at a cost of 10.00 euros per bottle; therefore, guests are asked to declare at check-out whether they have consumed any of these bottles, in order to avoid any misunderstandings with the property and potential charges.
