About this house rental
Welcome to Bluewater Sandcastle on Surfside Beach! a true beachfront home built for two families to vacation together without being on top of each other. Built by former NASA engineers who built HAB units on the ISS. Very cool and unique features.
With 4 bedrooms / 2 baths (sleeps 12), two living areas, and separate A/C units on each floor, you’ll get “together time” and real privacy.
Beachfront + sweeping views from the home and decks
Over 600 sq ft of outdoor decking (including a covered upper deck)
Turn-key kitchen: guests repeatedly mention it’s fully stocked
Two refrigerators/freezers (huge for big groups + long weekends)
Easy access to the sand—even noted as helpful for limited mobility
Layout (great for multi-family stays)
Main level: Great Room + kitchen + bedrooms/bath + deck access
Upper level: second living area + bedrooms/bath + balcony/deck (perfect for night owls)

Outdoor living
Fire up the grill, eat at the two picnic tables, rinse off in the outdoor shower, and park up to 6 vehicles under covered parking.

You’re about 60 minutes from Houston and roughly 35 miles from Galveston for day trips like Moody Gardens and **The Strand Historic District.
Nearby, guests love the quieter coast and fishing/outdoor options like Quintana Beach County Park and **Follett's Island Beach.
Good to know (no surprises)
Home is on well + septic with a whole-house softener + filtration. Many guests still prefer to bring drinking water (taste preference).
No pets. No events. Minimum age to rent: 25.
Beach access note: If storms ever impact the private walkover, access points are close by (we’ll message you with the most current route).

Nice home. Great location. Entry was a little tricky but Patricia was available when I reached out. There was an abundance of kitchen items and decorative beach items to make you feel at home. The sulfur smell was awful but there was a supply of bottled water. The crossover to the beach was really convenient. We loved the furniture on both decks that wrapped around. The stairs and deck railings were a little shaky. Overall we really enjoyed our stay watching the sun rise and set from those decks with access from 3 of the 4 bedrooms.

Great house! The location is prefect. Lots of room for everyone. It was fully stocked with everything you need for a great vacation.

Perfect location and fun getaway with the kids! This house really has alllll the things you could need. Only concern was water quality and smell. Possible the pipes are rusted or something because we haven’t experienced that at other houses on this beach.
