Antico Casale Sodini is located in Vorno, a small village, just outside Lucca, Italy in the lush rolling hills of Tuscany just a short drive from the village center of Lucca.
This charming Villa was originally a farmhouse and has been beautifully restored with elegant luxury.
This Villa makes you feel as if you are coming home with attention to detail for your every comfort and need. Serenity is the philosophy of life offered here, as Antico Casale Sodini is brought back to life for your enjoyment.
Here in the warm golden afternoons you can breath in the simple pleasures of the past.
The rooms are intimate and comfortable living spaces, full of warmth and welcome.
The ground floor is the dining room where one can admire the vaulted ceiling, the stonework, and other traditional workmanship. The entry hall’s large window looks on to the garden, bringing in the outside.
The study and powder room continue in the same elegant style.
Two stone fireplaces, that still awakens the warmth and memories of family gatherings, old stories, and friendly conversations.
On the upper floor of villa are five double bedrooms, each with private bathrooms.
Three rooms face north with views of the panoramic valley and hills and two look southwards over the beautiful garden and brook.
Of the five bedrooms, one is a large master suite with sitting room to provide the utmost in comfort and luxury.
The villa is filled with period furniture and splendid decorative objects. Nothing has been left to chance.
The luxurious bathrooms are fitted with both tubs and showers. The spacious garden is filled with potted lemons, olive trees, pines, camellias, wisteria, roses, lavender, rosemary and fruit trees, all forming a splendid backdrop to the swimming pool.
One can enjoy relaxing by the pool, conversations under the gazebo or dining al fresco in the place of your choice.

Our week at Casale Sodini was one of the highlights of our trip! Lucia was an exceptional host, reaching out before our arrival with helpful videos and detailed instructions for the house, including the AC—which was appreciated during the summer heat. It was also such a pleasure to be greeted by Lucia in person when we arrived.The location was perfect for exploring Tuscany. We easily visited Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and Forte dei Marmi, and there were several excellent restaurants and grocery stores just a short drive away.The home was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The pool was a favorite for both kids and adults. We were initially concerned it wasn’t heated, but the water temperature was perfect for the Italian summer, and the pool was beautifully maintained.We were welcomed with a basket of pasta, coffee, and drinks in the refrigerator, and each bedroom was stocked with bath and pool towels. Midweek housekeeping refreshed towels and emptied the trash.Lucia also helped arrange dinner reservations and an unforgettable family pasta-making class for our group of eight. She even went above and beyond when our young son unexpectedly needed medical attention, connecting us with a trusted local doctor and helping to coordinate his care.We can’t forget Silvio—the villa cat! We wished we could bring him home! Lucia’s warmth and hospitality made our stay truly special.

Great pool area. One of the best we’ve been to.Had all seven rooms. Almost in Lucca and just 30 mins from Pisa airport. Hosts exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Maid service included. Exceptional.

Pool even better than pictures and villa very comfortable with very efficient air conditioning.Good breakfast dining area outside dining room and small walk to pool.

Wonderful experience. Fabulous spacious rooms Unbelievable pool area - just amazing. Lucia was very responsive, friendly and helpful.
It would have been helpful to have a guide on the house - e.g. how the sockets and switches worked ( light switches turned plug sockets on and off and was quite confusing). There were no instructions on waste collection and recycling and only a tiny bin provided which for 10 people was not suitable.
A few improvements needed in the kitchen - there were no sharp knives, no wooden board for cutting bread and the other plastic chopping boards were very old and warped. The socket where the microwave was plugged in was hanging off the wall exposing the wires.
I small suggestion for other new guests - please provide new dishwashing sponges, cloths and at least one or 2 dishwasher tablets. An extra drying airer for clothes is needed. One airer for 10 people is not sufficient. We had to hang towels on railings.
Overall this is a fantastic place - we all loved it. There is a bus stop right outside to take you 15 mins to Lucca which is a fantastic walled city. The scenery all around is breathtaking. Our host was so lovely - she was very kind and got someone to fix the ice machine straight away. She also let us check out a bit later was was super helpful.
