About this house rental

Welcome to The House of the Rising Sun, a pet-friendly Gold Coast Hinterland hideaway inspired by the warm colours, textures and spirit of South America.

Inside, bohemian colours, artwork and special pieces from around the world create a soulful, welcoming space where guests from every culture can feel at home. Modern comforts include three queen bedrooms, a cosy indoor fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, brand-new dishwasher, modern television, excellent Wi-Fi and reliable hot water.
Bags of 20 klg of firewood are available to purchase for cosy winter nights.

As you travel away from the busy city, you'll enjoy the beautiful country roads, peaceful hinterland streets and stunning acreage properties, leaving the stress behind as you approach the property.

Wake to birdsong and sunrise views from the front, then enjoy glowing sunsets, forest and misty mountain views from the back.

Outside, the property is full of little experiences. Beside the dam, where ducks swim and kangaroos sometimes come to drink, you’ll find a brand-new modern spa in a fully fenced area, with powerful hydromassage jets and beautiful lights at night.

Nearby are outdoor seating areas, a pergola wrapped in greenery with a charming Chesterfield leather sofa and extra chairs, BBQ, large picnic table and a fire pit for marshmallows, stargazing and listening to the frogs singing around the dam after dark.

Children especially love our free-range chickens. When the chickens are out, kids can help feed them, spend time with them, and join in the fun of gently guiding them back into their secure area afterwards. When available, guests may also collect fresh eggs for breakfast. In winter, you can even enjoy juicy oranges picked from the garden.

You will definitely spot kookaburras laughing, cockatoos and, if you’re very lucky, an occasional koala and shooting stars.

The house sleeps six comfortably and is ideal for romantic escapes, family stays, girls’ getaways, writers’ retreats or simply a few peaceful days away with your pet.

Although it feels wonderfully secluded, you are still only minutes from Mudgeeraba, Robina, shops, cafés, charming restaurants, Springbrook Mountain, Theme parks and the southern Gold Coast beaches.

Close to everything, yet it feels like another world.

Exterior security cameras: For guest and property safety, exterior cameras operate around the driveway, parking and property entrance areas only. There are no cameras inside the accommodation.

This home is comfortable and idyllic, set in the Hinterland with ocean views. This would have been a perfect getaway if our family was older. Our host was welcoming and helpful but this lovely property is not appropriate with young children.

Million dollar view, Big Duck was a wonderful addition, he's just like a big labrador, always wagging his tail. We loved seeing Mum duck hatch her babies. Log fire was wonderful. Host was lovely. We'll be back.

what a lovely long weekend my girlfriend and my 2 dogs had at this beautiful and peaceful property. Thanks go to Patricia who was there to greet us when we arrived and show us around. My 2 dogs loved swimming in the dam, and we loved soaking in the spa, a win win for everyone! The house was airconditioned and very comfy with some beautiful decor in the lounge room. Such a lovely stay, thank you!
