Location and privacy is excellent. We had our two well behaved dogs with us and they had a secure fence to keep them in the garden. Walk around town all in reach. Pillows were great for us.

The bed squeaked every time you move.

I always believe in providing feedback not only for the pending travellers but also for the owners in the hope that they will take on board the feedback to make the experience better for those who stay. What was good…. Central in the town so easy to walk to both end of the town Great that they have made this a dog friendly property. We love bringing our dog with us and therefore it was great to have the front yard for the dog that was fully enclosed and thank you for the dog bowls also. No extra charges for pet’s was also a bonus. Let’s face it…often dogs are much cleaner than some humans are! Comfortable beds and electric blankets were a bonus. Shower was hot and a good pressure.

What wasn’t good or what you need to be mindful of…. I found the facilities of Creek Cottage on Booking.com a little misleading and you need to be aware of some of these things, or the owners need to update the information. Free Wi-Fi – yes there was a code there, but the wifi wouldn’t connect. TV – yes there is a TV but it doesn’t work, you can only watch DVD’s however there is a good selection to choose from Bathroom – If you are older, you may have difficulty stepping over the full size bath to get into it to have a shower. The exhaust fan was filthy and has not been cleaned for a very long time. This then does not allow for the steam to depart the room. Toilet paper – would be nicer to have a slightly better quality. You end up using twice as much of the cheap stuff so you don’t get your hands wet! Kitchen – one teaspoon in the drawer is not enough. There was only two of us and that was bad enough when one drinks coffee and the other drinks tea. Plastic glasses for wine…this is just not acceptable in this day and age. Go to a secondhand shop and buy good wine glasses and if they break, they are cheap to replace. The huge plastic wine glasses were horrible to drink out of. Parking – There is no parking for this property despite the write up saying so. When I rang the contact to ask where we park, she said outside the confectionery store. Despite driving up and down the street 3 times, we could not locate a confectionery shop. The next day when we asked at the general store, they told us the confectionery shop had been closed for over a year! The people who manage this property need to visit it once and a while to ensure what they say is correct. The person in the general store said we could park partially on the footpath and partially on the road, however I ended up leaving the car across the road in a small daytime carpark overnight. BBQ – Despite what might look like a great BBQ outside, it was most definitely unusable – see photo I have posted. Wh
