Property Manager tried to enter room unannounced while we were changing. Completely ruined the stay.
The view was nice. Water pressure was good.
Everything the unit is a little worse for wear. The floor in the kitchen is scuffed up. The carpet is stained and matted. The closet and bathroom doors had weird ashy looking handprints all over them, and had chipped paint and wood. The bidet seat fan would make the whole bathroom smell like a sewer because it was blowing toilet air into the room. The shower wand didn’t work, only the main shower head. The stand fan didn’t work so the bedroom was fairly warm the entire time because the air conditioner doesn’t really blow into the bedroom. Hot sleepers beware. The bed slats were constantly popping out causing the mattress to buckle when using it. The booklet with room details had the wrong information for the WiFi. I had to look at the router and figure out the access point name and password myself. In addition, the router needed to be reset before the internet would work. Less tech savvy folks would probably not have a good time. There were dirty socks someone left behind by the bedroom nightstand and some sort of food trash below the dresser in the living room.
Now for the biggest complaint. The property management company, Koko Resorts, decided it would be a good idea to show up unannounced to change the battery in the electronic lock. They did not call, email, or otherwise notify us of this in advance. We were at the unit changing our clothes when we heard a knock on the door and almost immediately heard the door unlocking. Not knowing who was trying to get into the unit, my partner ran to the door and barely managed to slam it shut as the person was trying to enter. Rather than saying anything or identifying themselves as a representative of the property management company, the person decided to try to leave. We checked the hallway after rushing to finish dressing and found them waiting for the elevator. Only then did they identify themselves and the reason for barging into the room.
