very Poor

Beautiful home with breathtaking views of the ocean

The host was lovely before we encountered problems, which happened on our first morning. We chose to stay here for 2 days because the facilities included a washing machine and dryer. The electricity tripped and we could not access the switchboard and the host advised me that they would only be able to look into it the evening as they had appoinments elsewhere, which later turned out to be her car that was serviced. My husband shaved in the bathroom basin and when he walked out, slipped on a pool of water. I reported it as my frail mother was due to visit. I sent a photo of the water spillage, an due to miscommunication, which I have on record, A plumber came out in the evening, and admitted to the basin not being connected to drainage pipe, and his company was responsible. This took forever to be fixed and the host or rental agent came to look at electricity issue the evening. She was the only one with keys. It was a total disaster and I will include photos of the issues. We stayed in 17 different Booking.com accomodations and whilst this one was in a beaitful location, the service was appalling and unprofessional. We took it up with Booking.com and was advised that they could not reach a resolution with the owners, and offered us a voucher, less than a quarter of the price we paid. Wew have left South Africa now and may not even ever be able to use this voucher as we visit South Africa once in 10 years. The owners also live in France and we were told by the rental agent that she will have a hard time explaing the after hours call out fee. So unhappy. I have a video on record of when I reported the water issue, but am unable to load.
