We had the most wonderful stay, it was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Keiga Ono, and his wife were so welcoming, kind and generously drove us to Kuonji temple and the Minobusan ropeway at 4.30am on both mornings we stayed. They also provided a range temple activities at kubonobu which we enjoyed very much, such as an introduction to chanting in the temple. Our whole family including 3 teenagers loved the traditional food, it was a highlight of our whole trip to Japan. The homemade tofu was unforgettable. We stayed in the separate house/ dwelling which was perfect for our family, lovely, clean , very spacious and beautifully presented in traditional style. We also enjoyed the shared bath house. A wonderful, authentic experience of Japan.

Temple lodging at least six rooms well managed by one family.
I like that the accomodation have a hot bath, and they even made their own tofu served during dinner and breakfast.
I have to climb up slope to reach the accommodations without a car but that is nothing compared to the stairs up Kuon temple.

Une expérience unique et authentique dans un cadre paisible, au cœur des montagnes. L'accueil a été formidable et la chambre très spacieuse. Le bain chaud a été un véritable moment de détente. Le repas nous a permis de découvrir de nouvelles saveurs et des ingrédients inconnus. La cérémonie bouddhiste matinale a été un moment exceptionnel. Et pour couronner le tout, nous avons eu la chance d'admirer le mont Fuji depuis le téléphérique, sous un ciel parfaitement dégagé ! Un souvenir inoubliable de notre voyage au Japon.
Rien à signaler, tout était parfait !
