Avoid this place.
Nothing to like
We were lied to, please avoid this place. I am an experienced Booking.com user and this is the first time I felt like I was scammed. I blame the company Del Mar, the owner of Hidalgo Residences. There are 5 big reasons for this horrible experience:
1. On the day of checking in, they told us that the apartment is no longer available and they offered an alternative apartment in Soho Morelos. We took that option because we did not have time to look for another place, because of our flight.
2. Dirty bed sheets. We contacted the owner to change the sheets and put clean ones. They sent someone who just made the beds and used the same dirty sheets.
3. Floors were dirty. It was full of dried up dirt and you could easily see footprints. We asked for these to be cleaned. They sent someone, who just used a mop that resulted only to spread the dirt over all the surface again.
4. No internet, the owner did not pay the bill. Only after 1 day, after they paid the bill, the internet was working.
5. Insects like cockroaches and bed bugs. Upon arriving in the apartment, cockroaches were roaming in the kitchen. We filmed the insect in the bed sheets. We have no idea how many times the same bed sheets were used without cleaning.
We contacted Booking.com and opened an official complaint with pictures and videos. They confirmed that we are right and tried to contact the owner. The owner Del Mar was not responding to any calls, not even to Booking.com. We asked for a refund but the owner refused. We left the apartment on the 2nd day anyway out of 6 days total, the conditions were horrible.
