The location of the hotel is fantastic and the decoration with beautiful arts is amazing. Though one night is too short, it was fantastic to stay in second home Peru

The view was superb, out to sea and the coast as it curved. Location was at the end of quiet street moments walk from great coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, markets and walks that are key to understanding the neighbourhood, which is very upmarket. Breakfast was served at a time that suited, although staff mainly spoke Spanish, good choice as you might expect from a home rather than a hotel. What was less helpful was the habit of the locals to hire the restaurant 200 feet down the cliff from the house for what appeared to be late night very loud parties. This also encouraged cars and motorbikes to engage, with burn outs, horn blowing and music from their sound systems. The music meant windows couldn't be open, (better for the mosquitos) but some obtrusive noise was still heard until 4-5am. If you are a light sleeper you need ear plugs. However we stayed in the brilliant private house which overlooked the main dual carriageway and coast beneath so we probably heard more than other bedrooms in the property. Apparently the Police do very little the management told us.

The hotel was amazing but a bit rough around the edges! Very unique and artsy. Our room had phenomenal unobstructed pacific ocean views. The bed, pillows & bedding were very pleasant. The hospitality staff were really excellent. The breakfast was lovely and we also enjoyed our purchased spirits the wait staff work hard and long hours. They were so sweet, courteous & amazing!
There was a lot of street/road noise! Between loud noises from street traffic and horns, the sounds of the waves was spectacular. The bathroom was not a pleasant experience and we didn’t care for the many stairs to get to the room and to our private bathroom. There was no bottled water present, you had to ask for it. I was unable to get hot water at the sink and the shower was undesirable. On our last night there were a swarm of termites that came through and there carcasses were scattered throughout the room. There’s a beautiful pool but in the same area right above the pool every thirty minutes groups of tours come through to see the artist gallery. I just felt funny to get into a suit in full display with all these fully dressed groups of people walking around with full pool visibility.
