Spacious, well sound proofed rooms and comfortable bed. Most well equipped hotel gym I’ve ever used. Away from the hectic centre but super easy to reach with one of their rental bikes. Facilities cleaned very regularly. Cleaning ladies very smiley and polite.
They clearly have a sewage problem. My shower drain was blocked. I asked them to clear it. They did. It didn’t help. I think the problem is with the whole building. It varies during the day how blocked it was. My room faced the motorway. The windows effectively blocked out traffic noise. But sometimes I wanted some fresh air and would open the window. My room would then smell of sewage and the traffic noise was irritating. So I had to keep the window shut and rely on the vents inside the room. I wish they didn’t have carpet. It’s unhealthy (lots of dust) and unhygienic. Bicycles were not well maintained. I reported a serious problem (actually dangerous to ride) only to find the same bike still available to ride the next morning, not repaired. Reception staff all perfectly polite but none of them showed any joy of being there. Some were even grumpy. It is a customer service profession after all so service with a smile/some enthusiasm is not unreasonable to ask for.
