Facilities, style, cleanliness and rooms. The staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Breakfast was very nice.

The owners have given so much thought to making this place lovely. They cannot do enough for you. The breakfast choice and quality was exceptional. I opted to have it in my room, which was lovely. Facilities first class. I would not hesitate to book here.

The standard utensils in kitchen a bit limited. They are very happy to provide whatever you need but they might want to put a few more basics in.

The hotel is beautifully presented with a lot of thought going into the decor and it is spotlessly clean throughout. The rooms we stayed in were large, modern, and comfortable with every facility you could require. We were in a suite and had a fully equipped kitchen. Although the hotel is situated on a road it was quiet at night and the bed just right. The TV in the lounge was a good size as was the one in the bedroom. Breakfast was very good and varied and beautifully cooked and presented by Zara. Reception staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The location is near the City Centre, we walked it but I'd advise getting a taxi.

After a very long drive we arrived an hour early but were unable to get into the premises until after 4pm. We were expecting a proper hotel but it's more an air bnb with meals provided. The immediate area is not very pleasant and we were concerned about leaving the car on the road - our host offered us the one parking space on the driveway but parking could be a problem if the hotel was busy. A deposit was taken on arrival and a service charge of around £6 taken from that, something we've never encountered in our many travels.

Nice welcome and nice furniture and TV

The room we booked into the bed sheets hadnt been cleaned and there were stains and hair all in it! I very politely phoned the owner and informed him and he came looked and totally agreed and said the cleaner was new and his usual cleaner was on holiday so he changed us to another room… the bed in that room was exactly the same same as he also checked it with me before agreeing to move into the room so he then offered us the bedroom that was free and that was fine! Unfortunately, when we did eventually settle down and decided to have a shower then the water from the shower flooded the bathroom because I can only think that the shower drain was blocked? So we had to turn on/turn off shower constantly which was very inconvenient and long-winded! Not suitable to be honest especially for the price! We also decided to go for room service for breakfast but the waitress was not informed in what room we were staying in as we obviously had been moved twice to another room so bad communication between owner and staff plus I had to go downstairs and be on her to the correct room we were in! I was also a little surprised that the company charged me a further £4 for room service for the breakfast and a bag of crisp which I would of thought that would of at least been complimentary given the ordeal..!?
