The 2 rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. The rooms were well-equipped with good en suites and comfy chairs and places to put suitcase. The breakfast we excellent, as was the supper the night before.
It was all good. The window in one room was stuck open and had to be shut, which probably would've been difficult in the summer. The one thing I missed was a comprehensive guide to the hotel and spa, with something about the interesting history of the place. There was no literature of any kind there apart from an ad for Xmas. Such a shame, because it is such a historic place. The pool was cold and the sauna wasn't working- lighting was odd there, and very noisy.
