Golspie House, Margate

The most striking thing about Golspie House is the incredible decor in every room but this is not at the expense of anything else - as the property is so comfortable and clean with every little detail having been thought of (fresh flowers in the hall, loads of great information on Margate in the room etc.). We had the cabin which is tucked away at the back of the garden with its own private terrace and one of the rooms in the house - the bathroom is next door so not ensuite (it is private though) but it is a fantastic bathroom and I didn't even see the guests who were staying in the room above. Fee kindly let us use the ground floor lounge as well which meant we felt like we were staying in the whole house not just being contained in a room. The location is super-convenient for the old town and the sea (a few minutes each in different decorations). The area is a little bit scruffy in parts but that's Margate. On-street parking was easy when I arrived on a Friday afternoon.

Leaving. I would definitely try to stay here again if back in Margate.

A gorgeous room and bathroom the furnishings were amazing. A short walk from town, the beach and a bus route to access Ramsgate and Broadstairs. Plenty of quality local bars and places to eat.

We stayed in the captains cabin which we loved. It's quirky in style, comfortable, clean, private and really well equipped. Everything you need for a comfortable stay has been thought of. Loved the comprehensive info provided regarding local attractions and places to eat. The captains cabin has its own secluded terrace which would be perfect on a summers evening. We loved our stay, thank you.
