The house is located in a very quiet area over a beautiful lake and just a few minutes drive from the sea. Perfect for the calm stay close to nature. Other houses were not rented to we had lots of privacy and space.
The house is well designed, modern, clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and beds were comfy.
The kitchen has a good set of pots, pans and cooking equipment.
The local administrator who I was later in contact with was very friendly, professional and responsive. The moment I’ve received his contact, the communication became smooth and easy.
Overall our stay was very pleasant and we enjoyed our time!
There is a great potential with the space but it lacks a hospitality and basics that are nowadays a standard for the stays within similar price range.
We were informed to bring our own towels (that’s fine) but even bath mats in the bathrooms were lacking, so it was hard to take a shower without leaving a puddle of water. There was no hand soap or cooking basics like salt, pepper or a wine opener.
The biggest downside was the communication. The property is managed by an external agency on top booking being already a middle man. The agency spams with long (obviously copy-pasted from their email communication) automatic messages full of random links, image urls - all in German. They also requested to pay an additional amount via external link which I have not done as advised by booking. Any communication is almost impossible, questions are never answered and simply ignored - no matter if sent by chat, email or contacted via phone by booking customer service. An email sent to the agency was responded with an automatic message that they received it, after coming back from our trip, I still haven’t got an answer. Extremely unprofessional. I could only get all of the essential information after receiving a phone number to the local administrator and I am very thankful for his professional work.
The other issue are the additional payments. Be mindful that they charge for the electricity on top to the booking price and the price for the kWh was only given few weeks after the booking - it’s way higher than the usual standard (they charge 0,5€ / kWh). For our 3 day stay we had to pay additional 30 euros for the electricity.
