Nice clean rooms, really friendly staff and a great breakfast - private parking is also a bonus!

Spire View looked to have been recently updated. It was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. We had a full english breakfast which was cooked to order. Located near to the town centre.

6 / 10Average·Jun 2026

Bedroom was extermely comfortable with excellent facilties. Accommodation is nicely located and car parking arrangements were first-class. Breakfast was really disappointing though - through the meagre menu (no cereal; only 3 cooked choices, one of which was vegetarian), the lack of any guidance on how to order, or that toast and coffee/tea were all self-made and a really offhand approach by staff...how are customers expected to know that they need to go to a hatch to the kitchen to order their choices ? Friendly or helpful inter-action with customers was non-existent.

It would be a good idea for managenent to test breakfast service and menu for themselves and put themselves in the shoes of a first-time visitor. A re-think of the menu and some staff training would probably go a long way in raising breakfasts to an acceptable standard. The difference between the quality of the bedrooms and breakfast service was astonising.
