I attempted for an hour in 34deg in the street outside songs cloud whatever accommodation to book in
Nothing, nil, zero.
I attempted for an hour in 34deg in the street outside songs cloud whatever accommodation to book in, dripping wet and furious.
On arrival I tried to contact the 4 numbers on the information email from the host.
All calls went to voicemail in Vietnamese and cut off.
I sent WhatsApp messages to each number and each was rejected.
A very helpful young guy from next door also tried to call those numbers and had the same negative result.
As a result I had to find other accommodation.
There is nowhere on Booking.com that states this accommodation has no reception desk or checking in procedure, it's the first time I've encountered such confusion.
I can accept that type of key box entry from Airbnb but not from booking.com
I booked ALL my Vietnam accommodation through Booking.com during a month long stay earlier this year in march.
Similar all of September, again all through you.
I can't imagine how this accommodation scores a 10, the entry is a disgusting filthy hallway and if you are lucky to see in the dark a filthy staircase where I would have to drag my heavy case up to find another filthy hallway leading to the unit, I was so wary approaching from the entry to upstairs that I thought I was entering a crack house of drug addicts, it's purely disgusting.
To be scoring a 10 there must be some magic inside those creepy doors or someone is rigging the reviews, this should be looked into.
So in the end I am not staying at the accommodation, I'm not paying for it and I gladly leave a review on the site to warn others.
I have screenshots of the calls I made and the text I sent, as well as photos of the entry and the stairs etc.
I'm enchanted with Vietnam despite the hazards of footpaths traffic, loose wires, danger at every turn, however this has taken the cake and booking.com should look into this accommodation and rid itself of the incrimination it reflects on such a mega company.
Regards graham
