Great place at a good price

It's a lovely apartment at a great location. We received the entry info at the promised time.

Would stay again, easy fixes

Great location, apartment was generally clean, provided a new sponge and cloth to wash dishes which we appreciated.

Ensuite shower was blocked so overflowed when we showered, master bedroom door handle kept getting stuck. Woken up with a noise complaint at 6am while half the group was asleep, no music or tv on, and windows shut but host was apologetic.

Overall, we had a good stay and the apartment itself was excellent in terms of size and facilities. It was a huge apartment with more than enough space for two people, and it had pretty much every amenity you could need — pots, pans, an oven, microwave, iron and much more. The large outdoor terrace was also a great bonus, and the air conditioning was excellent, especially in the Barcelona heat. Despite the issues below, we did really enjoy our stay and would consider staying here again. The apartment has a lot going for it, particularly the size, facilities, terrace and air conditioning. However, the handling of the hot water issue was unacceptable and could have been dealt with much better.

There were some issues that really affected our stay. The biggest problem was the hot water. We had no hot water for around 28 hours after arriving. We contacted the owners, who told us on two occasions that someone had been out to fix it, despite nobody actually having come. In the end, my partner and I had to figure out how to fix the issue ourselves, which was frustrating considering how much we had paid for the apartment. Even after calling to let them know that we had managed to fix it ourselves, someone still came to the apartment around 36 hours later and interrupted us. There was also an issue with the shower, as water would leak underneath the shower door and, if you stayed in the shower for too long, the bathroom floor would become completely soaked. For such a large apartment, having only one pillow each on the double bed was also a little disappointing, and the TV felt quite small for the size of the apartment.

A nice apartment in a great location, but the management and check-in process need improvement.

The apartment is well located in a central but very quiet district, which was really convenient. It is close to public transport, so getting around the city was easy, and there are also a few nice restaurants and cafés nearby. The property itself is very nice and comfortable. The bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the AC worked well. There is also a nice terrace, which was a great bonus. Overall, the apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay, the location was very good, and the area felt quiet and pleasant. We had a good experience and enjoyed our stay.

I hope the property owner sees this, because the main issue seems to be with the management rather than the apartment itself. I had already seen other reviews mentioning problems with check-in, so I contacted customer service before arrival to make sure we had the access codes. Despite that, after check-in time I spent around 30 minutes on hold to get the apartment code, and another 45 minutes outside trying to get access to the building. There were no instructions sent before arrival, and no one replied to my message in the Booking.com chat. We only got into the building because another guest happened to come out. The proper building access instructions arrived the next morning. The shower drain was also blocked. We had to remove the grate and clear it ourselves, which is something the cleaning team should have noticed and fixed before check-in. We also had an issue with the water heater. We managed to solve it by restarting it, but again, I would expect this to be checked by the team before guests arrive. The apartment itself was good, but the check-in process, lack of communication, and a few basic maintenance issues made the arrival unnecessarily stressful.
