Comfy beds and large apartment, well equipped.

The apartment was comfortable and clean. Comfy beds, large apartment, a comfy sofa, and a well-equipped kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was a real bonus too. The location was perfect, with the town centre just around the corner and plenty of pubs and shops . Everything was easy and hassle-free.

Stressful expience lied in the ad misleading

I had a very unpleasant and stressful experience at this property. When I arrived, there was no heating, which was a serious issue. The host charged a £175 deposit and warned me that if she had to send someone for any reason, she would keep my deposit to cover the cost. Throughout our communication, she spoke to me in a shouting, intimidating, and aggressive tone, which made me feel very uncomfortable. The property was advertised as a flat, but in reality it was a shared house with many other people living inside, with several rooms rented separately. This was not clearly disclosed in the listing and felt misleading. There were numerous security cameras (around 7 visible cameras) monitoring the property at all times. I value privacy, and this made me feel constantly watched. Additionally, visitors were not allowed, even though I needed to briefly visit a sick aunt, which felt unreasonable. When I requested a refund due to these issues, the host told me I had to leave the property by 9:00 pm, which did not feel safe at all. She said that if I did not leave at that time, I would not receive any refund. After many attempts, she finally agreed to refund me the next day, but she did not return the full deposit. Out of the £175 deposit, she only returned £85, keeping £90 without justification even though everything was clean and un order, I am currently in dispute with Booking to recover the remaining amount. This experience felt misleading and unfair, and I believe other guests should be extremely careful. I would not recommend this property.

Excellent stay in Gravesend. The property was clean, well-equipped, and in a convenient location to travel into London in 20 mins. The host was responsive and professional, making everything seamless. Highly recommended.
