Nice Villa. Horrible Customer Experience.

Nice and comfortable villa. As pictured. Cleaning staff was nice.

The villa itself is nice, but unfortunately the experience leading up to our stay was very disappointing. Communication with the hosts was inconsistent and often slow. At times, it took several days to get a response, and we had to follow up multiple times, which was frustrating. What stood out the most was how inflexible and transactional the process felt. It was mandatory to go through their vendors for services like chefs and workout classes. These options as well as excursions such catamarans were significantly more expensive than alternatives we found ourselves. Overall, it felt very much like every opportunity was used to charge extra, rather than focusing on the guest experience. The grocery stocking process lacked transparency. We were initially quoted a $35 service fee, which was later increased to $45 without honoring the original amount. We were also given a high total for groceries with no itemized breakdown and asked to send the full amount upfront in order to proceed, despite also requiring a deposit. It was unclear what we were paying for. Additionally, the listing mentioned that coffee was included, but only a minimal amount was provided, far from enough, so we had to purchase more ourselves. Overall, while the villa is nice, the hosting approach felt disorganized, inflexible, and not customer-focused. The process was unpleasant and frustrating, and left the impression that cost-cutting and upselling were prioritized over the guest experience.
