Rooms are comfortable and Babu is very nice and gives amazing recommendations for trekking (also can rent equipment from him for the trek instead of buying new things)

Everything was exceptional. My Garden House is one of the best places I’ve stayed. The people who run it are great, and the breakfast was excellent every morning. My room was big, and the location is hard to beat, just a 5-minute walk to Thamel. The dining area is outdoors near the garden. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone heading to Kathmandu.

My Garden House is located next to Thamel and a real quiet paradise in this busy area. You can sit in the small garden, relax and leave the city stress behind you. Within 5 min walk you are in Thamel with all its attractions.
Breakfast is provided in the sitting area of the garden according to your wishes.
Owner Babu and Ronish are such warmhearted and helpful persons and make you feel like a family member.
They help you in any situation, eg. laundry service, taxi hire, valuable information and organization of trips around the area, money exchange, SIM cards, etc .....
Rooms and bathroom are very clean.
I can highly recommend this place, thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

The outdoor garden courtyard is really nice, relatively quiet and relaxing to just hang out in. The best feature of this hotel. Some of the staff in particular were really great (a cook/helper person, unfortunately don’t remember name).
Room was very basic, which is fine, did the job for a few nights. But not especially clean or pleasant… a bit dingy and not a lot of care put in. After travelling a month in Nepal and now having a reference point, rooms don’t compare favourably for value or condition.
