As you enter Temporary Sanity in Orange Beach, our name for Summer House 1104A, the first thing you will notice is the upgraded, recently renovated finishes.
The balcony…this one has it all. The famous Summer House over-sized Patio with privacy walls…and the A building “04” units are over the pool by the beach. Yes, you can see the pool festivities if you like, or you can hang back and catch some sun in privacy.
Summer House currently has a sandbar about 50’ offshore. This creates a fantastic break for kids to play on the beach and it also has the effect of drawing the smaller fish to the bar. Where there is dinner, there are patrons and those happen to be dolphins! From 1104A, you can clearly see the dolphins and rays doing what dolphins and rays do….and is also a great place to catch what the Blue Angels do too!
This is a truly a second home personal property and is outfitted for the owner's family comfort which they are generously offering to share with your family! The unit has >200MB high speed internet and modern generation TV’s in each room. In fact, the owner insists on quality televisions and amenities. The living area TV is a 65" LG OLED TV with Dolby Surround Sound. That is not standard in most beach rentals! The SmartTV functions are native to the LG TV.
All the other TV's are also high quality modern Smart TVs. The Master King bedroom features a 65" Roku enabled TV and has an en-suite bath. The second King bedroom has an 48" LG OLED SmartTV. The dual Queen third bedroom has a 55" Roku TV, which is usually the kids "hangout".
You can comfortably enjoy this open floor plan with 8 of your family and friends without climbing over top of each other.
The kitchen is updated and fully equipped with everything you'd need for creating delicious meals and snacks.
The master bedroom has a comfortable King sized bed for your retreat after a day of sun and sand and has a private master bathroom with an updated walk in shower with a high end glass enclosure.
The other two bedrooms and bath are located on a separate wing off the kitchen. One bedroom has a plush King bed and the other is equipped with two Queen beds. The guest bathroom also features a tub/shower combo.
The Summer House complex has a variety of amenities to enjoy during your stay including indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor hot tub, and sauna room. When you're ready to head to the beach, head down the private boardwalk and on your way back in stop by the outdoor shower area to rinse the sand off. There's also a charcoal BBQ area, tennis courts, basketball goal and outdoor racquetball court.

Parking is limited to 2 vehicles at Summer House like any other condo in Orange Beach. You will pay $50 per vehicle for a vehicle registration certificate available at the guard shack or across the street at our Summer House office (during workday hours).

We always love staying at Jennifer's place (1104A). Been coming here for years and it is always super clean and well organized. The location is perfect! Everything is less than a 15 min drive from here, even during peak months. There's a Walmart neighborhood market less than a mile away too. Our kids love the heated indoor pool on rainy days and there's even a tiny toddler playground behind the indoor pool. Chair rentals on the beach are done via perdido beach services and you can reserve chairs the night before for the next day. There's plenty of space here for 3 adults and two kids to really spread out. The new closet organizers in the 3rd bedroom with extra hanging bars for kid sized clothes and drawers inside the closet was wonderful! It fit both kids clothes for the week easily. The Electrolux washer and dryer in unit works well and didn't make noise when the cycle finished (unless you turn that feature on) so you can wash clothes at night while kids sleep. I love the dimmers on the kitchen/dining room lights for nighttime. The magnetic removable shower wand in the bathrooms was nice for kids who don't want water in their face and the big dining table on the back patio was wonderful for when the kids came in from the beach hungry but wet. Walmart plus delivers here consistently and was so convenient not having to get out for supplies. The villagio grille at the wharf does takeout family meals for 4 people (~$40) and we will definitely do that again. We also enjoyed parlor donuts. They had so many unique flavors and the donuts stayed fresh for several days. Matt's ice cream is our kids favorite bc they get to fill their own little custom candy bags for the ride home. There's a full wall candy bar (probably over 50 items easily) there where you just fill bags with whatever they choose and they get weighed at checkout. Beach star (the squishy store) was so much fun if your kids are obsessed with these toys! The pirates and princesses breakfast at the hangout is always a lot of fun for littles too. Don't sleep on the owa tropic falls indoor water park if your kids love places like great Wolf Lodge. They have several kiddie rides there too that typically have no wait even during peak times. We definitely used the drip coffee maker, griddle, crock pot, toaster and blender in the condo. Nice to not have to plan to bring those things. There's were even ziplocks, press and seal, and foil stocked up which was a nice surprise. It's quiet enough here even during peak seasons that our kids don't get woken up by slamming doors and loud guests through the night and early morning. All this and more is why we keep coming back to 1104A.

I wish Temporary Sanity was my Forever Sanity. I have absolutely no bad things to say about this unit or trip. A beautiful view. Plenty of seating for your big family vacation. Everything you could want and need available in the unit. GREAT AC! Comfy beds & couch. Amenities that actually work. Clean areas around the pool and communal areas. Very short walk to the beach. So many restaurants and stores close by. You can tell that heart and soul was put into this renovation. The unit itself was great, but the hosts were somehow even better. Carrie was quick to answer any and all questions, and was very supportive in helping my now husband and I make our dream beach wedding come to life. She was truly such a lovely, helpful part of this whole planning and vacationing process. If you’re considering booking a stay at Temporary Sanity, stop thinking and just do it! I sincerely hope to be back one day. Thanks for having us!

We stayed at Temporary Sanity for a week. This condo is amazing, beautifully decorated and well stocked. Anything you would need in the kitchen is there! I’ve never stayed in a condo as well stocked as this one. We had a family of 6 and there was plenty of room. I loved the layout and having 2 king beds and 2 queens worked out great for us. The complex is really nice, large outdoor pools along with an Indoor pool with a large hot tub , sauna and gym. You can’t go wrong with Sugarfoot Rentals. We will definitely be back.
