The location was nice and the concierge who physically check in w us regarding the lock was a relief

It was centered to everything

No elevator, my daughter and I had to carry big suitcases to 3 rd floors 5 flights of stairs. The keyless door handle would not work for 20 min after bringing large suitcases and carry ons on those stairs in hot day was madness.

Nice place to relax, should be able to communicate with the hotel when issues arise

It was clean, and comfortable

There was nothing in the booking that mentioned 3 flights of Stairs to get to accommodation, about 90 steps and no lift, was having issues getting into accommodation due to the door lock not working properly, on one particular occasion it took us 45 minutes to get in, tried calling the hotel, office hours were 1500-1900, hard to get hold of when something was wrong,

Terrible ! Never again

Nothing ! Absolutely nothing .

WARNING DONT BOOK THIS PLACE BEFORE YOU READ THIS REVIEW ⛔️ The worst experience ever ! First we had to get two uber drives from the train station, first one couldn’t find the place at all , second stayed with us for two hours just looking for that terrible place ! Yet we couldn’t find it !! Had to book in a very very expensive hotel cause it was the only one that had a room that night , notice it was 2 am cause we spent 3 hours looking for that terrible place, I had to book a room for 800 euros ! Then in the morning we checked out ,, thank god that expensive hotel came in handy , they provided us with a bellman to help us with the luggage’s it was like 9 mins walking to that place , only to discover after finally finding it ( no sign , no name no nothing ) just a buzz button on the wall with a few of them with few random letters that didn’t make any sense or couldn’t spell a word . So the amazing big surprise was that they had 4 steep narrow floors and a half , we had 4 luggage’s ( we were attending a wedding in como and staying for two months after in Tokyo ) The bellman thank god helped us carrying the luggage’s upstairs ! Poor guy was sweating like forever , had to tip him 70 euros cause what he had to bear was unbearable ! Only to find the place smaller and tinnier than the pictures . And the shower ! Don’t get me started You can only shower there if you don’t move your hands and rotate back and forth ! Spiders and ants was in the room were the cherry on top ! Pls if you wanna have a great stay in florance don’t book that place ! Unless you like the hassle . Oh and I booked in another amazing hotel called : The Dumo luxury suits Which I’ve stayed in on my previous trip to florance which I should’ve booked there from the beginning, but I thought hey let’s try another hotel as a change ! The worst decision I’ve made in this beautiful trip .

Looks good - but don't book

The location was good. The apartment was modern and appeared as per the photographs.

Don't book this room. It looks nice but is not fit for purpose. The walls in the apartment are so thin you can hear every noise (and drop) of bathroom activity from the neighbouring apartment behind the wall behind the bed. It is as if the people using the apartment and bathroom in the neighbouring apartment are inside your apartment. Every single word, splash, knock, noise, voice is fully audible. The shower is also unusable. It has a flat tiled floor with a drain, and no tray. The shower door does not have sealant under it, so the water flows out onto the bathroom and apartment floor unimpeded. Also the room's windows have no curtains, just nets. So you are fully visible to neigbouring apartments and woken up by daylight, which in the Summer is early in the morning. The stairs are steep and poorly lit up to the top of the building (usual for such apartments in Florence) so if you have heavy bags or are infirm or older, you should take this into account. When I complained to the proprietor I was told to complain about the buffet before I ate it - this was not relevant to my concerns. Then I was told that I should have complained before I left the apartment, I left at 730am having had no sleep and no shower. Perhaps I was meant to test the future noise by asking neighbours to go to the toilet earlier in the day? Or test the shower in advance of its use the following morning. When I said I wanted a meaningful engagement with my complaint the proprietor's response was to simply say I was blackmailing then with a bad review for a refund. This is not the case. I am a reasonable person and I raised my concerns for a meaningful response. I know people want to make money but doing so with an apartment not fit for purpose (sleep and a shower) is not the way to do it. Also being rude in messages back is not good business practice. Sadly I did not get a meaningful response, so I am writing this factual review.

Suite splendida, spaziosa e curata nei minimi dettagli, a due passi dal Duomo. Letto comodissimo, pulizia impeccabile e atmosfera accogliente. Posizione centralissima ma silenziosa. Check-in facile e staff super disponibile. Torneremo sicuramente!
