A disappointing stay in Potenza.

The place was clean with views.

This was our second trip to Italy the first 3 years ago. Both trips were over 5 weeks. The first trip we stayed in 10 accommodations and this latest trip we stayed at 11 accommodations so we have a good idea about travelling, taking the rough with the smooth. However this was our worst experience that could have been so much better with proper oversite from those letting the apartment. The first thing to mention is the address. It appears that the location is Piazza Mario Pagano and not Prefettura which probably accounted for the confusion with the taxi driver. I made contact the day before arrival and asked for any information we should need upon our arrival. we were told "pick up the keys at the bar downstairs and go up to the apartment". There is no bar and after messaging we were sent comprehensive instructions to pick up the keys from LaDelizia restaurant several premises away. In the mean time my partner who speaks Italian took it upon herself and had found where the keys were before I could tell her. However the servers in the restaurant did not know about picking up keys, but eventually somebody did find them. Not a good start but it did not improve. When we got into the apartment there was no instructions about WiFi etc. but I did manage to figure out how to put the heating on. The hot water however would only run for 10 seconds and then ran cold. I messaged the manager and was told try this and that and we would have to wait until tomorrow as was Sunday. Eventually a plumber arrived in casual clothes without tools and fixed it in 2 minutes. There were many things that were advertised but not there. The excuse was that that had to "comply with the new safety and hygiene regulations"??? There was a lot more but running out of space. Sorry but we cannot recommend this accommodation after our unfortunate experience.

SOLUZIONE IN CENTRO STORICO

Ottima la posizione in pieno centro

Consiglierei di migliorare la zona soggiorno molto ampia, in cui c'è un divano letto utilizzato per dormire, aggiungendo delle poltrone o un divanetto per poter guardare la tv
