Served the purpose but not staying there again

Grounds of the property was very neat and shower that good pressure. The only 2 good things about the place

We checked in on Friday. Kitchen tap was not working. No water in the tap and the tap was hanging off the sink. I contacted Mark and he wanted to know what was wrong with tap. I sent a photo and a video. The response from Mark was that he will have it fixed asap and also as it sounded like he didn’t know about the issue. No one came to the property or fix the tap. The tap underneath the sink that feeds water to the tap was turned off. We turned that on and had water but just a trickle. Bathroom had mould and the window track was full of dirt. Very dusty and strong musty smell when we entered the house. The laundry wasn’t clean at all. The couch in the living room was sunken in. There was a sign not to leave dirty dishes in the sink otherwise cleaning charge will apply. How about have a working sink to do the dishes. I was going through the reviews about the place and the issue with the kitchen tap has been there for months and obviously not fixed. No outside lights.

Best suitable for people with pets not kids

The location & parking is great. Backyard and front yard had nice grass for the kids to play on.

Since the second we arrived, we felt very uncomfortable to stay there but of course we had no other choice with two little kids and returning back to Canberra wasn’t an option since it’s a 4+ hour drive. The floor was very dirty and dusty, judging by the plates being sticky, cupboards dirty, hair in bathroom, seems like place hasn’t been cleaned and only beds were made, which seemed as though they weren’t even washed from previous stay considering the rest. Cockroach was found by my mum while I was at the event with my husband (unfortunately no photo). The price we payed would have been great for the size of the house although definitely SO much money when we felt super umcomfortable to sit, lay, sleep or shower. Hosts weren’t replying to my emails at first when I hoped for a partial refund, and unfortunately I had to leave this review. I did tell the owners that I will be leaving a review if I can’t get a partial refund and they told me they would also leave ME a review. But I don’t mind. Money is money and especially with everything going on these days I think it’s important to choose and spend money carefully especially with whoever has little children. (I have photos of the house as reference to what I wrote, but it will not let me post here) I can see many positive reviews from this place, it’s unfortunate that my family & I had a negative one.
