Ridiculous.

Great view and location

The property was fine. The problem was the admin and the check-in process. I booked on behalf of my elderly mum. I filled out the form. I paid for the room. I used my email. I used my phone number. I told them I was booking on behalf of someone else. They made the whole process an absolute nightmare. They kept wanting her email. They wanted her to upload her credit card for the security deposit. I explained that I was going to do all the admin on behalf of my nearly 90 year old mum. They kept coming back with more demands for her email. They didn’t listen to anything I said or wrote. They wanted her driver’s license. She needed to upload photos of the license. I explained she wasn’t going to be uploading anything, because she didn’t do that. I spoke with them on the phone number of times. Over the babble of children screaming in the background they told me they understood, and would then send another email asking the same stupid things. Then they told me it was Booking.com that was forcing them to do that. Rubbish. I just booked a holiday to Japan via Booking.com and didn’t have these issues. Then on the day the apartment was not ready. We had to wait half an hour. After all the fuss I was infuriated and told them they would need to offer some sort of compensation for the delay. They gave mum an extra hour at check out, 11am. Then the day before check-out they sent yet another email telling me all about how I needed to check out by 10am. Hopelessly disorganised and very unprofessional. They made a three night visit as complicated as crossing the Alps. I would never book with these people again.

We had a lovely week exploring Brisbane and enjoying time in the apartment.

Great view from the 27th floor windows and balcony. Well-appointed. Convenient to have washing and cooking facilities, and to be so close to Southbank and the convention centre. Quiet when glass doors are shut.

There was a funny smell in the common areas - from the garbage chute? There was a sign saying cleaning of the chute was scheduled.
