Location - literally on the harbour - fabulous. Thick walls made for no outside noise.
No main lights in bedroom.
Could have done with rails/hangers for towels. And robes would’ve been a nice touch for the price.

Nice room.
Bathroom was roomy and the shower was good.
Stated parking available.
It did not say that we would have to drive for 45 minutes to find a park or that we would have to walk back several hundred metres in the rain to the hotel.
That is plainly misrepresentation.
I did not like being lied to.
There definitely is NO PARKING AVAILABLE
Pretending that there is no parking available anywhere in Whitby means parking hundreds of metres away means parking is available is absolutely wrong. I DEFINITELY would have stayed elsewhere if I had not been lied to.

Location, view, restaurant food
Nobody from the Hotel made contact to see if we were enjoying our stay, or needed anything, other than initially to give us the key ( no mention of what to do with the key on departure),
Supplied cups for tea/coffee in room not cleaned after use, although room looked to have had towels folded, bed made and bin emptied daily
Old building with wooden floors, meant every move made in the room upstairs above ours was very intrusive/noisy, tolerable in daytime, not great at 05.00am in morning
No where to put clothes, other than hanging in wardrobe,(poor selection / number of plastic hangars - invest in some wooden ones!) A small chest of drawers would help, along with an armchair
one of ceiling lights not working in bathroom - made it very dark
