Need a revamp
Locations on the other side of the river was perfect to access city and close to train station
The place needs work a lot of work, it reminds me
Of a student accommodation from 20yrs ago, the en-suite sink is partially blocked and does not drain properly, I tried to use hot water to clear but either needs a strong bleach or drain cleaner. I dropped my keys and under bed and sofa was filthy and full Of dust - hasn’t been done in years. The sofas are becoming thread bare in places - there is only one lamp in the master bedroom, there is a weird oil mark on the wall, the mirror hanging up in the master bedroom is hanging by a thread - the smoke alarm is continuously beeping I assume battery backup has gone. There is dirt around the switches. The numerous tiles coming off and broken in bathroom need sorting, there’s a funky smell walking into property beyond the damp smell in rest of property. Windows need cleaningThe fridge door has dropped and doesn’t close properly, the freezer drawers are broken and sharp. The foyer carpets leading into building need a significant clean or replacement - owner may wish to contact his building services to sort. The key to the front door top lock doesn’t work with keys I had.

Bed, shower and toilet clean, but that doesn’t make up for the rest
Beds, shower/bath were clean.
Location has a nice view across the river, city is in walking distance.
Hosts allowed us to drop our luggage early which was very nice.
Property is run down. Nobody cares about it.
If you clean the wash basin and the shower, that doesn’t make a clean bathroom.
Clean bathroom sink, but icky soap dispenser.
Removed chewing gum stuck at the nightstand.
Found clipped nails on the floor when I accidentally moved the bed an inch.
If you put a nice new bathtub into a rundown bathroom, that doesn’t make a nice bathroom, just a nice bathtub in a rundown bathroom. Work in the apartment wasn’t done by experts. Everything is wonky and just somehow made work (more or less).
One screw of the door threshold trim for the sleeping room sticks out — not good if you’re barefoot :-(

Apartment door has a regular handle from the outside, so you’d better lock the door when inside. But, as a previous guest noted, unlocking it from the inside can take minutes. Not good if there is a fire or even if you just want to catch a train in time. (Unlocking from outside works without problems; getting in is not an issue).
Staircase to apartment smells like someone urinated in there, stairs are super dirty.
When going out in the morning after the first night, a lot of trash was lying around. Was gone when we returned in the evening.
The fridge wasn’t in a condition I’d like to use for food. The freezer, however, was broken, dirty, and all three drawers were fully iced so they couldn’t even be opened (why do they bother keeping it on?). The stove was in a pitiable and icky condition.
Plates for a whole party, but only one wine glass. One lamp without bulb, one bulb without lampshade.
Killed two moths in the sleeping room, found two more caught in the sun roller blinds and more live ones in the stairwell.

I've stayed in worse, but I've stayed in MUCH better!
Good location
The accommodation was very run down and needed some attention. I felt it was like staying in a university house!
Worryingly, we locked the door one night with the key and struggled to open it in the morning. It appeared jammed. Upon inspection, the door looked as if it had been fixed after being broken and had become stiff. This was extremely worrying as if there was a fire or emergency, we would have struggled to get out.
I don't think it was value for money.
