The 1st floor being a hostel with the private hotel rooms on all the other floors and a shared common area made for a great experience. We made a number of friends during our stay because of this unique setup, and hanging out with them made this the most memorable stop on our trip through the country. Also great location for things like the dragon bridge and markets.
The air con was leaking right at the bathroom door, causing a slip hazard, and it was just impossible to keep the shower water from splashing all over the toilet and floor.

The room was very nice, comfortable bed, little desk to work, kettle and a little balcony. Netflix is available but unfortunately you need to have your own subscription.
The emails asking to check-in online and provide private informations are a bit odd.

The price
The bed is very hard. To use the towel one needs to pay 200,000VND deposit first. There is always a toilet smell mixed with smoke on the ground floor, and people are loud. There is a man, a guard maybe, tried to show me my room and opened up the door of the female dorm for me, and all the ladies inside were surprised. The man did not carry my luggage or do anything helpful, he just opened the female dorm for me for no obvious reasons while I can open the door myself. I feel like if the guard and staff can show more respect for privacy, that would be great.
