The location right on beachfront was excellent, although there is a high traffic noisy road in between the apartment and the beach. The apartment is open space, well laid out with a balcony facing the sea, and modern and bright!
The shower drain was plugged and slow.
The washer was stinky and mildewy.
The apartment was poorly cleaned with greasy finger marks all over user areas. Corners of counters and floors were sandy and dirty. Not a clean smell.
The host was overly communicative with more than 20 messages during our stay. We had to wait for better parts of 2-3 days for a plumber and for the cleaners as our host was not able to give us a time when they would be there.

Akasha provided us with a clean and quiet space for our week in Rethymno. Access to a supermarket and many restaurants right downstairs. A washing machine and fast WiFi is available. The unit has beautiful views over the Mediterranean ocean and a very comfy bed.
We would definitely stay at Akasha again but there are some things to be aware of. No drying rack was provided for wet clothes, no coffee cups for coffee, the microwave/oven did not work and we did not have hot water on the last day.

Facilities good, location great, being picky 68 year olds parking in summer might be a problem, how to get hot water to work? A fold up table and chairs to enjoy a sunset takeaway. Microwave grill because we eat in
