Final Verdict: I would strongly advise against staying here, especially for families.
The surroundings are beautiful and if you're lucky the weather cooperates and you're not visiting during a major holiday it would be a very interesting and breathtaking place.
The rental process is incredibly bureaucratic, requiring multiple registrations, deposits, and ID uploads. Despite completing this "multi-step" gauntlet, we were provided with the wrong door code. We were left stranded in the snow for several hours, only gaining entry when a guest from another apartment happened to open the door.
The apartment is poorly maintained and differs significantly from the listing photos:
Fire Safety: There is no ventilation above the stove, and multiple fire alarms had been removed from the walls. Only one alarm upstairs remained functional. Given that an extension cord actually caught fire during our stay, this lack of protection was terrifying. We notified management immediately, and although they said they would fix it, nothing was done during our stay. I have lots of pictures to show this, but it the review won't give me an option to upload these.
Renovation Quality: The unit features amateurish electrical work with exposed wiring throughout.
General Upkeep: The bathroom mirror was broken and hadn't been replaced, and the bathroom light was non-functional, forcing us to shower in the dark.
We had some extreme weather circumstances during our stay. Apart from the 5 out of 5 risk of avalanches, a severe snowstorm had buried the parking lot. Management showed zero flexibility. Despite it being physically impossible to move our vehicle with two children in tow, we were told we had to vacate immediately because "new guests were coming"—ignoring the fact that no one could get in or out of the complex, including any new guests. The focus was entirely on turnover, with zero regard for guest safety in extreme conditions.
Linens: Be prepared for a €60 surcharge if you do not bring your own.
Deposit: Our €500 deposit was not returned within the promised 7-day window. It required several formal demands before they finally rectified the situation.

Pros – Alp d’Huez, as a destination, is very recommendable. Beautiful village. Great people. Great mountain.
Cons – This apartment and this host are misrepresented, dishonest, and were a complete disappointment. I’ll elaborate below…
We are a family of 4 with two boys, 14 & 18 years old. 90%+ of my reviews are positive reviews because I do not delight in needless complaining or badmouthing. This booking and these people were legitimately the worst we’ve encountered in all the years we’ve traveled to the French Alps.
I. Booking page lists everything included, like stove, oven, lamps, bunk beds, bed linens, ets… all in one paragraph. Then they contact me and say we have to pay for bed linens. Very dishonest money grab.
II. Generally, speaking the apartment does NOT at all live up to the pictures you see in the listing. It was poorly and cheaply renovated, very poorly lit, two of the beds (upstairs) bowed like a banana (really good for your back, I’m sure), and one heater didn’t work.
III. We are four people with 2 snowboarders. There was gear in our ski locker. We we asked for that to be removed, we were told to keep our boots on the balcony instead of the ski locker (ridiculous suggestion to freeze boots for12 hours before wearing them).
IV. Coffee maker was 1/3 full of mildew smelling water. No one dared use it.
V. Lastly, I confirmed clearly that, for check out, all we needed to do was remove all garbage and wash dishes. I confirmed it twice. I have the text thread to prove it. We did that exactly. I then received the 60 euro charge for extra cleaning, stating that we had left garbage and dirty dishes. I stated this was untrue and they dishonestly followed up with photos of an apartment that is not the one we stayed in.
In conclusion, I absolutely would never recommend this company or this host. They are unapologetically rude and dishonest. Book this at your own risk. Location is also not great, relative to the village, if that matters. Stay away, you easily have better options.

Appartement fait de bric et broc. Finitions laissent clairement à désirer. On se marche dessus à 6
Les hôtes : arnaque - ils nous refacturent des choses déjà cassées avant que nous arrivions dans l’appartement alors qu’ils font remplir un état des lieux dont ils ne tiennent pas compte.
