Worst travel experience so far

This was, without doubt, our worst travel experience so far. The apartment is centrally located near the Vieux Port, but directly above a restaurant (“Istanbul Grill”), whose guests sit outside until late in the evening. As a result, there was considerable noise and strong food smells entering the apartment late into the night. The apartment itself is very cramped. At times, it was difficult to enter because the door lock frequently got stuck. The sofa bed is hardly suitable for sleeping. However, by far the most serious issue was the hygienic condition of the apartment. Several members of our family woke up with numerous bites, inflamed marks and strong itching all over their bodies. We discovered bed bugs in the apartment and documented the situation with photos and videos. The owner/management initially appeared understanding, and we left the apartment early in agreement with them. Afterwards, however, they denied the problem despite our photo and video documentation and failed to respond adequately to our messages. No appropriate solution was offered — not even a refund for the nights during which we could no longer use the apartment. This serious hygiene and health problem had significant consequences for our family. In Marseille, we had to go to a pharmacy several times to obtain treatment for the bites and itching. After returning home, we also had to consult a doctor because the symptoms continued. We also had to keep all our clothes and bags in a freezer for an extended period to avoid bringing bed bugs into our own home. This was extremely stressful, time-consuming and disruptive. For all these reasons, we absolutely cannot recommend this accommodation.

Convenient and clean.

Location was excellent!

No AC. Fans were provided but it was still hot in the apartment.

Zentrale Lage, gute Ausstattung. Alles was man braucht kann in unmittelbarer Nähe eingekauft werden. Ruhig trotz turbulenten Treiben , da gute Schallschutzfenster und Klimaanlage. Perfekt!
