Absolutely loved it. Ideal placement for daytrips. Great beach 10 min walk away. Bairns loved seeing the trains going past. Pipe band practicing on Thursday evening was an amazing bonus.

We stayed here with 2 adults and 4 kids and had a wonderful time. The house is located very central, close to the main station. So we were able travel by bus and train solely, didn’t need to rent a car. We made some nice trips to Edinburgh (Portobello even), eastern part to Kirkcaldy, all without a car. The kids loved it. Also, there are nice hiking ways along the shore. Especially heading towards Kirkcaldy is a very nice walk, we even saw wild living seals near the sea view tower (30-45 min walk from the house). Kinghorn may not be the hottest spot in the area at first glance, but you have everything you need: A supermarket opened till 10 o’clock in the evening, 4-5 nice cafes and restaurants, nice beaches, Burntisland fair nearby (30-45 min walk). The house itself was comfortable, clean and fully equipped with toaster, kettle, washing machine,… It has a wonderful garden and three bedrooms two with a double bed (one very large, I guess king-sized), and one with two single beds. Before spending three times the price for sleeping in Edinburgh directly, I’d always stay here and enjoy travelling to Edinburgh by ScotRail (during working days there’s a train each half an hour). Thanks for the nice stay!
We missed a tea towel and a large broom. But that’s of course only peanuts. Everything else was perfect!

Great value for money! Easy access to Edinburgh via train or bus (but it is 45 mins by train.) The space we had for the two families was great and the house was clean. Thank you for the milk, biscuits and the essentials.
The towels and bedding had a stale smell to them. Like they had been put away damp. We had to wash them all prior to use! The outdoor area needs some love. We booked due to the garden and outdoor area with the slide/swing set perfect for our toddlers but is very weathered.
