Highly recommended for families or groups. The house is cozy and full of thoughtful touches that make you feel truly car

The house is lovely and cozy, with thoughtful decor and little details that show how much care and attention the owner has put into making it special.

As the house is surrounded by forest, we came across two or three large insects, which made us feel a little uneasy and more cautious during our stay.

A great place for a quiet getaway in the mountain

We liked the cost and welcoming atmosphere. Ken was attentive and checked if needed anything.

We need to come back!

We give this place 11 out of 10! The bestest place to stay near Aso/Takamori, it has a very nice atmosphere of a wooden house located in a forest, great for relaxing. Ken is the greatest host along with his fur friend, famous dog Gonta! We loved the fact that the house is running on hot spring water so the hot tub is actually a private onsen! Its very spacious, easy fitting 2 adult people inside. You can use the barbecue or a very well equipped kitchen there, as well as to go to nearby restaurants which serve delicious local food. Definetly recommendable place for people who like being close to the nature (lots of animals nearby). The house is not brand new but its clean and everything was working, all minor problems were solved by Ken almost instantly. He speaks english perfectly. We have to come back there someday!

Recommended vacation house to avoid city and busy life. The log house was cosy with detailed and warm decoration. Everyt

This place is impeccable. Even though the location is a little remote, but it is so close to nature.
