The apartment is located in a commercial and residential building from the 1960s. The landlords and another family member live on the two upper floors; the first floor consists entirely of two vacation apartments with separate entrances. From the time the building was constructed until 2020, the first floor housed a family-run hair salon, which is where the vacation rental—which has been in operation since 2024—gets its name.

“Alter Frisörsalon” Vacation Rental:

The “Old Hair Salon” was converted into a vacation rental for up to 4 people in 2024 following an extensive renovation. It’s very centrally located, so you can walk to Fritzlar’s market square in about five minutes, where numerous restaurants, snack bars, and bakeries in the immediate vicinity cater to your culinary needs. In the other direction, you can quickly reach the countryside, where, in addition to hiking trails, playgrounds, and the outdoor pool, the Ederauen Bike Path is also within easy reach.
The apartment is accessed through a separate entrance on the first floor of our residential building. A small entryway with a coat rack and mirror leads into a large, bright kitchen-living room, which is furnished with thoughtful details and invites you to relax in any weather. Attached to the rear is a 10-square-meter balcony overlooking the garden, where you can sit surrounded by greenery, just like in a treehouse. When the weather is nice, you’ll instantly feel like you’re on vacation.
The kitchen-living room itself is fully equipped, and features like the dishwasher help you enjoy your vacation. The seating area and sofa area are designed to accommodate four people; free Wi-Fi, a TV, a radio, and—upon request—a DVD player with a large selection of movies are available to you. Bed linens and towels are, of course, provided and included in the price.
Adjacent to the kitchen-dining area is a small but nicely appointed bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. A small hallway leads to the two bedrooms, which feature 160- and 180-sized double beds, respectively. One of the two rooms also has a walk-in closet.
A large former storefront window facing the street in both the living area and one of the bedrooms can be covered with light and heavy curtains to block the view and reduce light.
If necessary, you can park your car right in front of the front door, and a carport is available for bicycles. Pets are allowed in some cases by prior arrangement.
