The worst experience ever

The clean bathroom (before the accident happened), and the convenience of the location

Right after booking and before our arrival: 1. We were asked to pay £300 as deposit which is the highest deposit we’ve ever paid, and it’s not paid through booking.com, but the property’s own link. 2. Besides, we had to give our personal details, together with our selfies holding our passports. It made us very uncomfortable, but because it’s a non-refundable booking, we had no choice but followed. We didn’t know actually more “unusual”experiences happened after we checked in. On the first day when we entered into the apartment, we found the following problems: 1. The main door’s chain was broken, and we couldn’t use it. 2. The living room’s door handle was broken, and we couldn’t open the door from inside. 3. Some lightbulbs in the living room didn’t exist while some existing bulbs kept blinking. 4. Some glasses and plates were oily; and we even found some food stains and fingerprints on some of them. 5. No WiFi. More accurately speaking, there’s no router. The property staff informed me, after their investigation, their cleaner(s) mistakenly disposed the router, coz the cleaner(s) thought the router was left behind by the previous guests. 6. While we were a bit upset about all these problems, I received a message from the property that they needed to send someone to fix some leaks in a cupboard on the following day, and we found no leaks at all. But the staff insisted they had to send someone to fix it. So, I requested to be informed about the time in advance, coz I had an appointment in that afternoon. On the second day: 1. At about noon, my sister was locked up in the toilet. Somehow, my nephew managed to open the door and rescued her. Then we found out the toilet door got problem as well. I reported this additional problem to the property . 2. In the afternoon, when I was at the appointment, the property staff called me and told me their handyman was at the door, so I rushed back to the apartment from my appointment. It turned out the handyman found no leaks.

If you're looking for reliable Wifi, Parking & Lighting - Stay Elsewhere

Asides from the fact I couldn't get parked most days even though it was meant to be a private allocated space, asides from the fact that the lights or Internet didn't work much of the time, asides from the fact that the furnishings and walls were stained, marked or not working properly, asides from the fact that the agency didn't help when I contacted them with issues - the beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good.

I booked this property because it was the cheapest available & my trip was unplanned, so my expectations were already low. Unfortunately my stay fell well below already low expectations. I want to leave an honest review as my experience was very different from the other reviews I saw online. While the decor matches the photos, the condition does not. Issues included: • Marked sofas and huge stain on rug • Dirty walls in the living room and kitchen • Wifi so unreliable I couldn't work nor could I watch anything on the smart TV (Netflix etc) - I had to hire space elsewhere just to do my job: turns out the wifi is a Vodafone dongle, not a proper router • Unreliable lighting, flickering lights, some bulbs not working or missing altogether • Broken bedroom blind - hanging off on one side • Private parking that I was unable to use on at least 5 occasions. • Plates etc are provided but the plates don't fit in the microwave • Fridge worked but had no internal light The property did not feel well maintained, feels more like an after thought. There was also a strong smell in the landing area, I couldn't pinpoint what it was until it was described by multiple visitors as like deep fried oil. My coats that hung near the door absorbed the smell & required dry-cleaning. The WiFi was extremely poor. The TV could not stream, and I could not work online. I later learned it is a mobile dongle, not a proper router. Despite contacting the agency, nothing was resolved. I was there for 2 weeks and contacted the agency several times for help - nothing was ever done & once I had enough & sent a message asking to raise a formal complaint 0 the responses stopped altogether. Although parking is private and numbered, other cars frequently used the space and I had to leave my rental car elsewhere - pay for parking or chance the double yellows. Again contacted the agency but they said nothing could be done.

Spacious, bright and clean property. It was so comfortable! Location is close to city center, a great park, and a lovely coffee shop/restaurant. The property managers were so easy to work with and responsive!

The property is excellent. The only suggestion I would give is that a hair dryer and a clothes drying rack would be very helpful additions.
