Not much! It was not maintained. The pool was the only nice feature.
FORMAL COMPLAINT – REQUEST FOR SUBSTANTIAL REFUND DUE TO UNACCEPTABLE AND MISREPRESENTED PROPERTY CONDITIONS
This property was in absolutely unacceptable and, frankly, appalling condition. The condition of the property was substantially different from what was represented at the time of booking and was not reasonably suitable for a vacation rental.
From the moment we arrived, we encountered serious and ongoing problems involving plumbing, hot water, air conditioning, sanitation, insects, windows and screens, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, basic household supplies, and property management. These were not minor inconveniences. They materially interfered with our ability to safely, comfortably, and normally use the property.
There was NO AIR CONDITIONING on the main level or in the basement, making the property extremely uncomfortable.
There were also major plumbing and hot-water problems. The toilet in the basement bathroom was broken and would not flush, making the bathroom unusable for its intended purpose. While showering, the water would suddenly go from completely cold to dangerously scalding hot without warning, making the showers unsafe. At other times, there was no hot water at all. These conditions were particularly unacceptable for a property occupied by a family with children.
The downstairs bathroom smelled strongly of urine throughout our entire stay. The odor never went away and made the bathroom extremely unpleasant and unsanitary. The children could not use the shower in the downstairs bathroom because of the condition of the bathroom and the ongoing problems.
The property also had a serious insect infestation. We encountered cockroaches, ants, centipedes, spiders, and mosquitoes throughout the property. This was not an occasional bug that one might reasonably expect in a vacation rental—it was an ongoing and pervasive problem.

There were also major plumbing problems, including broken toilets and other plumbing issues that required immediate attention. Despite repeatedly reporting these problems, they were not timely corrected.
The property also had a serious insect infestation. We encountered cockroaches, ants, centipedes, spiders, and mosquitoes throughout the property. This was not an occasional bug that one might reasonably expect in a vacation rental—it was an ongoing and pervasive problem. We were repeatedly bitten by mosquitoes and other insects on our legs and bodies. The conditions were particularly disturbing given that we were staying in a property that was supposed to be clean and properly maintained for paying guests.
There were numerous additional maintenance problems, including broken drawers, cracked windows, damaged screens, and other obvious deficiencies. The condition of the windows and screens also contributed to the ongoing insect problem and made it extremely difficult to keep insects out of the property.
THERE WAS NO WI-FI. This was another advertised/basic amenity that was unavailable.
