Racist
Property owner lied about overbooking status. He confirmed the reservation and check-in time @ 12.45pm time stamp thur his admin portal in booking.com extranet. You know how I know because I'm a Property manager for IHG Hotels. *StoryTime* Once I got to the property you had to either drive the dangerous uphill drive way or walk. I preferred to walk up glad I did. I called the owner to gain access to the home twice. I even texted his personal cell to confirm who I was before he called back stating he was 25 minutes away. I had to either walk back down the driveway or sit and wait which I did outside for 28 minutes. Once he pulled up with somone else in the car they immediately started shaking their heads. He then opened the doored saying I'm sorry but booking.com overbooked the room. First indicator he didn't want to uphold the nonrefundable reservation. Second blamed booking.com for the inconvenience and stated two others booked the same room same day. Third he said he called booking at 11.45am to tell them to block new reservation yet mine came in @12.30pm same day but he confirmed the reservation and sent a message approving my arrival time one hour early of his checkin time 3pm. Mine you I said early I know the admin portal extranet like the back of my hand. Booking.com doesn't reconfirm a guarantee booking nor reply on your behalf in the message app nor overbooked your property nor a hotel if you dont do your part closing out your property, or choosing blackout dates. So, He LIED! I'm African American female he and his gentleman friend chose to refuse to uphold the reservation based on my color clear as day. Enough said!
