Beautiful old building maintaining its original character. Very comfortable bed. Fabulous breakfast.
The floor in Room 3 is uneven from the door to the side of the bed so be aware.
At 6.45 am Tuesday morning the council recycling lorry parked under our window to recycle what seemed to be glass for the entire street. Took approaching 25 minutes. Clearly not the fault of The George.!

The room was spacious and well equipped. Lots of little touches incl water hand cream, tes, coffee, biscuits etc.
Excellent breakfast with friendly and attentive service
The road noise as, we had a room on the front. Some very shabby furnishings. Obviously such an old building so no sound proofing through windows to lessen traffic noise.
