The apartment is located in a small residential complex on Glockenberg in Altenau, right next to the Kristalltherme Altenau (about 200 m away), which is the perfect place to relax. From Glockenberg, you can set out on hikes, Nordic walking tours, or bike rides of varying difficulty levels and elevations. The Harzer Wandernadel stamp booklet can be an incentive for the youngest hikers. Hikes can be combined with the disc golf mountain course, a visit to the Altenau Herb Park, or the playground. In the summer, the Okerteich forest swimming pool is perfect for swimming and playing. From the living room, you have a view of “Auf die Rose”—a small ski area with a 0.5 km slope and a toboggan run. Discover and enjoy Altenau and the surrounding Oberharz Nature Reserve.

The 70 m² vacation apartment can accommodate up to 4 adults and one child up to 7 years old. It is furnished with solid wood furniture as well as modern Scandinavian pieces and faces southwest. The bedroom features a double bed (180x200), a child’s bed (140x70), and a large closet. The dining, living, and kitchen areas are open-concept. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a microwave, and an electric stove with 4 burners. The living area features a corner sofa, a flat-screen TV, a DVD player (including a DVD library), and a play corner for the youngest guests, with a small selection of toys and books. The dining area is equipped with a dining table for 4 people plus a high chair, a stereo system, a collection of games, and books. The balcony is accessible from the dining area; furnished with chairs, a table, and a parasol, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. The bathroom features a shower stall, a sink, a children’s stool, a potty, and plenty of storage space. The studio in the attic is furnished with a double bed (180x200) and a flat-screen TV. This is a smoke-free and pet-free vacation rental.
