The room was perfectly clean, the furniture seemed new, and the air conditioning worked great. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. They took the time to ask me questions, showed genuine interest in whether I was comfortable, and wanted to make sure I was enjoying my stay. I also appreciated the complimentary bottle of water. Although the bathroom is located outside the room, it is still private, and I personally didn’t find this to be an issue.
Considering the affordable price, I think this place offers great value for money. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and the cleanliness, comfort, and friendliness of the owners made a great impression on me.
The only thing worth mentioning is that the property is close to a fairly busy road, so some traffic noise can be heard. I’m particularly sensitive to noise, which made it more noticeable for me. However, I used earplugs at night and slept fine. I think this place is a great option if you plan to spend most of your time exploring and mainly return to the room to sleep, rather than looking for a completely quiet retreat.

The best accommodation experience I’ve ever had, by far! If you love getting to know the local culture of the places you visit, you really couldn’t choose a better place to stay.
The house is located in a local community about 20 minutes from Ubud town center. There are several beautiful waterfalls nearby, as well as local markets, cafés, and restaurants.
The street can be busy, but in my case, it didn’t bother me at all. It’s peaceful at night, and since we were traveling and waking up early to make the most of each day, it wasn’t an issue.
The room is comfortable and has everything you need. The sunrise view from the upstairs room is absolutely beautiful!
You shouldn’t expect a hotel, but you can expect all the comfort, warmth, and hospitality you need for your trip.
Baggus and his family are incredibly welcoming. If you’re interested in Balinese culture and Hinduism, he and his father are always happy to share their knowledge and explain things to you. If there are any ceremonies or celebrations taking place during your stay, they’ll take you along so you can experience them firsthand. In my case, Baggus’s wife even lent me traditional Balinese clothes!
Arriving here and having this house as my home away from home made me realize just how special the Balinese people are.
I would choose to stay here a thousand times over!

Spacious and comfortable. The homeowner was very kind, helpful, and responsive. I had an unexpected flight schedule change, and he was very understanding and allowed me to change my booking dates, which I really appreciated. There is also a convenience store within walking distance.
One thing to note: I didn’t see any information on Booking.com stating that the bathroom/toilet is located on a different floor, except in one of the review. The property is also located along a busy road, so if you’re a light sleeper like me, I would recommend bringing earplugs. Otherwise, the traffic noise may keep you awake throughout the night.

It was wonderful to be immersed in the village and learn about the ‘real’ Bali. Bagus and his family are very kind and welcoming. The accommodation is very clean, beautiful and surrounded by nature. It is also a 2 minute walk from a local convenience store.
While a kettle is generously provided, the room does not contain a fridge so plan meals accordingly. Overall good value for money.
