I absolutely liked Botafogo as a neighborhood and this is hostel is perfectly located there. It was easy to meet people and the volunteers and staff always organized things to hang out.
The bed was not so comfy as the mattress was quite hard and mine was pretty ripped already. I even got itches on my back, not sure where that came from. The AC was very cold and they couldn't change the temperature as the remote got lost. So it was either to have a really cold room or no AC and mosquitoes in the room.

It’s a very chill hostel, the rooms are big, there are spaces to work and there is a rooftop. Also the area is very safe.
