Title: Unsafe, Uncomfortable Property – Booking Agent Refused to Help, Booking.com Useless
Review:
I booked this property in Malta for a month, and it turned into a nightmare. The internal stairs are extremely dangerous – uneven, different shapes and sizes, steep spiral, no handrail, and low head clearance. My 72-year-old nana fell shortly after we arrived and could no longer use them safely.
Because all bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs, she had to sleep on the kitchen floor for the entire month. To make matters worse, the property didn’t even have a proper living area – no sofas at all, just a tiny kitchen with a table and hard plastic chairs. It was uncomfortable and completely unsuitable for a long stay.
We raised these issues immediately with the local booking agent in Malta, who refused to offer any help or refund. Booking.com also refused to intervene.
The listing photo of the stairs was misleading and gave no clear warning about how unsafe and inaccessible they are, especially for elderly guests. For £2,600, we expected safe, comfortable accommodation – instead we got a dangerous, sparsely furnished property and zero support from either the agent or Booking.com.
If you care about safety, comfort, or basic customer service, avoid this property and avoid booking through this agent.
