Property is cosy and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooming equipment. We also appreciated the little basket of tea and coffee and little bits. Fireplace is a great touch.
The logs were quite large for such a small burner so lighting the fire was difficult. Unfortunately we also got a flat tyre when parking in the private carpark due to some building debris. Had to get the AA out

Location was isolated but gave access to what I wanted to visit, so fine.
Oh dear. For the second time in as many months my visit to the area has been tainted by low quality accomodation. Despite the owners claim that the property is pristine it was indeed far from it. It felt grubby from the moment we walked in and smelt like it too. Whilst the towels and bedding were acceptable the rest was far from it. The dust filled cobwebs in every corner, sticky kitchen units, cracked tiles, chipped worktop, dirty and mouldy shower. I could go on. I won't be recommending this premises. Charity shop utensils and furniture do not make for a lovely stay. And it wasnt cheap.
In case I get asked why I didn't complain at the time, what would be the point in co frontation and would they have refurnished and decorated whilst I was there.....
