About this villa rental
No spa, no pool here, it's the sea itself that invites inspiration. Whether meditative or active, this place caters to all desires. No need for a car to enjoy snorkeling, paddleboarding, wing foiling, or kitesurfing. Just open the gate and dive in! For those who prefer reading or napping, the shaded garden is a peaceful haven.
Dedicated walkers, casual strollers, or anyone in between will find nearby adventures. A short walk away lies the lively and authentic port of Barcaggio, with its wild dunes and expansive sandy beach. The maquis-covered hills and coastal trails offer countless fragrant walks. Facing the iconic Giraglia Island, the home's natural and understated décor enhances the harmony and serenity of this unique setting.
Accommodation Details :
The property is located on the ground floor of a former hotel, fully renovated and transformed into a small co-ownership of five apartments. Only the ground floor enjoys a fully private garden with exclusive access to the sea!
The property consists of two independent apartments, offering a total of three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two toilets, and two fully equipped kitchens.
- The Robinson apartment features two bedrooms.
- The Crusoé apartment has a spacious 25m² bedroom.
This setup is ideal for two families wishing to share a holiday while maintaining their own independence. The entire property faces the sea and opens onto a vast 400m² terrace and garden leading directly to the water... just step through the small gate !
The garden is equipped with an outdoor shower (cold water) and a "beach return" area featuring a warm shower and toilet for added convenience.
The east-facing orientation of Robinson and Crusoé offers breathtaking sunrises.
Location and Amenities :
While the setting feels serene, it is not isolated. The property is located at the entrance to the charming port of Barcaggio, a quaint harbor too small for large boats. Local fishermen set out in the mornings and evenings—open the gate, stroll to the quay, and pick up fresh fish for your grill! If cooking isn’t on your agenda, nearby restaurants are happy to welcome you, just 50 meters away.
Convenience is close at hand, with the baker visiting four times a week, along with the grocer and butcher.
A Natural Paradise:
The tip of Cap Corse is a protected site managed by the Coastal Conservatory, ensuring the preservation of its unspoiled, wild beauty. The scents of the maquis—immortelle, rockrose, arbutus, myrtle, rosemary, and juniper—blend into a fragrant symphony.
Hikers can set off directly from the property. To the left of the gate, a short walk of less than an hour leads to Tollare, an authentic Cap Corse village nestled around a small cove. To the right, follow the beach to the Agnello Tower. For the more adventurous, the 25-kilometer Sentier des Douaniers trail between Macinaggio and Centuri offers a spectacular trek.
Between the sea and the maquis, everything here remains untouched.
