Villa in Umbria
Reasons to book
About this villa rental
The Villa is conveniently positioned for breath-taking day trips to destinations such as Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, Perugia (Italy’s chocolate capital), Orvieto, Castiglione del Lago, and Deruta, where highly skilled local artists create world-class ceramics. Because the Villa is so close to the Tuscan border, Montepulciano, Siena, Pienza, Arezzo, and Cortona are convenient day trips.
The villa would be rented through VRBO on a self catering basis. Food shopping is easy in Umbertide with a good number of supermarkets as well as a weekly market on Wednesdays and a Saturday Farmers Market. The hosts can arrange a welcome pack for you by discussion prior to arrival. There is a wood/charcoal BBQ on site at the poolside. Eating out is also easy, a good number of restaurants to suit all tastes and price brackets in Umbertide and along the Trasimeno lake side towns.
The owners live on-site below the main guest levels and are available to help if needed, but guests are given privacy and space to enjoy their vacation in peace.
This is a working farm, mainly for olives, so please be aware there may be vehicle movements during your stay. That said, please feel free to wander the ground of the farm and find secluded spots, there are 18 hectares! In the summer months some of the water used is drawn from our own lake, so please do not swim in it.
Before you ask: The guest parking is free and close to the house. This has its own entrance from the roadway. WIFI is also free. There are no TV's in the guest bedrooms.
NOTE: All taxes (both local and national), towels (including pool towels), and bed linens are covered in the price.
