Aweful! Bedrooms in the attic without AC are like sauna. Only 1 house key attached to electricity card which was logisti
Good location, spacious place
Several issues: All bedrooms are in the attic without AC and if you are coming during hottest months (July &August) rooms are like sauna. There is AC in the hallway but doesn’t work well and doesn’t reach bedrooms even with doors open. Only 2 rooms have fans and I recon the 2 smaller rooms were at least 28C. Another issue is there is only one house key which is attached to electricity card so when you leave the property there is no electricity which nightmare if there is a group of you. We had 2 cars because we wanted to do different things: boys wanted to go hiking to see sunrise and we wanted to go to the beach in the morning- they had to pass the house and get the key to have a shower. Boys stayed out till 2:30 to watch World Cup final and I had to get up to let them in.. issues that shouldn’t be there to begin with! Lastly the host (does she know she is a host?!?) I asked for the 2nd key she ignored me the whole day, later when we were discussing plans for dinner as it was World Cup final I accidentally pulled the door behind me locking us out, I messaged saying it’s an emergency and she replaced saying the earliest she can come is midnight because “she is busy living her private life” and “sorry for not sitting all day in Sithonia in case you want something” we asked for 2 additional fans and she said no. She implied im lying when we locked ourselves out and said “the only reason I want 2nd key is to run AC 24/7” boys then had to climb to top floor to get back in but if something did happen it would be us sitting in A&E. Come to think about it maybe if AC was working whole day then upstairs Death Zone wouldn’t be so hot! I paid over £1k to stay there for a week and I’m all for sustainability but I don’t go on holiday to suffer and if I need AC 24/7 so be it. I had to ring booking.com as place was unliveable and they couldn’t get hold of her either! we had to stay (suffer) further 2 nights as host has 48h to respond but in the end booking.

A very nice building, unfortunately failed by the provided service and management
The house is located almost in the centre of the village, making access to tavernas and mini markets easy enough. The building itself has a lot of character, stone built with a lot of details that add to the whole image.
Accessing the house itself is not possible with the car, something that was not clearly communicated. This is a challenge when one has to move luggage on foot, through the streets, from a parking place to the house. Parking is hard to find, which is expected in this kind of villages.
The equipment provided in-house, was not up to the level one would expect from that price range:
Only one set of towels per person, one bedsheet per bed (no extra blankets or bedsheets for a duration of 10 days).
Unsafe electrics, electric sockets half out of their wall box. Single insulation cable feeding the kitchen extractor hood, fixed on the wall with metal screws (I took photos to show to electricians as an example of bad practice)
Coffee maker not working (if it did it was never explained to us)
Kitchen extractor hood filter was covered on sticky oil, simply unacceptable.
One key only, welded on the magnetic card. For a building that is supposed to host 9 people max, it means that either they all go out and return at the same time, or the ones in the house are without electricity. This might work for a 1-bed apartment but is unacceptable for a whole house.
I understand that the lady who met us had some family emergency and could not be as attentive as she may wanted, but any decent host should have a backup plan for emergencies. We did not even know if the tap water was drinkable or not.
The so called terrace is a very small balcony which is pretty much taken by the AC unit.
The cherry on the pie is that there in NO place to sit and relax with your friends outside, no garden or anything else. For a holiday place that is used 99% in summer this is again unacceptable and it should have been clearly communicated. Unless one is prepared to spend his holiday time inside a house with AC, it is hardly an ideal summer establishment.
I have been in places with a fraction of this cost that offered so much more, I feel that we were misled by the photos and the description on the site.
