It has everything but a clean square centimeter.

The location.

The apartment was truly dirty. Only once before did I not feel comfortable enough to sleep in a bed, that was in a room in Nepal. It had pots and pans and everything one might need, but not feeling comfortable to use anything is what kept us from having a good stay in Vilnius. All that is needed to make this rough diamond into something shiny is some good old elbow grease… that is it.

in summary - 🤢🤕

Great location - almost everything was walking distance.

Where do I even begin… The apartment was disgusting! Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that nearly every surface was either dusty, sticky, or both. Our socks were literally sticking to the floor. The mirrors, windows, TV screen - everything was streaky. Cabinets and drawers were filled with random personal items belonging to the owner, making it feel more like we were intruding in someone’s cluttered home rather than staying in a rental. The kitchen was by far the worst part. One of the main reasons we chose an apartment over a hotel was so we could cook for ourselves. Unfortunately, that was impossible. The countertops were sticky, the sink was filthy, the fridge had a horrible smell, and both the oven and microwave were in such bad condition they seemed like a genuine health hazard. The dishes, pots, and utensils all looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages (which, sadly, wasn’t all that surprising considering there wasn’t even any dishwashing liquid provided). Then there was the bathroom… It clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The toilet had visible feces stains, the seat rim was discolored, the shower was coated in limescale, and the floor was stained yellow. The shower door was also broken. We ended up having to buy our own cleaning supplies - sponges, rags, and disinfectants - just to make the shower, toilet, kitchen sink, and floor bearable enough to use during our stay. It’s also worth noting that there wasn’t even a roll of toilet paper provided. We had to buy that ourselves too. On top of all that, there weren’t enough towels or blankets for the three of us. The bedding on the main bed was acceptable, but the pull-out couch had a sheet that was too small and worn-out covers that didn’t even fit properly. And this is just a brief summary - I could go on and on about the state of this place. Would absolutely NOT recommend staying here!
