Sadly, very disappointing.

The town centre location is good for easy access to shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Communication with the owner was good prior to check-in, and I don't know when he last visited the property, so expect it's likely he was unaware that it is not being properly cared for. Since returning home I have messaged the host privately and he assures me he is taking immediate action to carry out necessary repairs.

It was sheer luck that we were able to access the apartment. We were sent a photo of the location of the lockbox but when we arrived it wasn't there! We tried entering the code into other lockboxes, but none worked. Fortunately a caretaker who was leaving the building asked if we needed help. He let us in and gave us his key to use for the duration of our stay. Although generally tidy, the overall care and cleanliness of the apartment was very poor. The shower hose was falling apart, both bathroom drains were clogged up with hair and other bathroom fittings were damaged or missing. The property was advertised as having a dishwasher that wasn't there and kitchen equipment was lacking: i.e. no knives for food prep, only 1 glass and 3 side plates (one badly chipped). Pans and cutlery were dirty and the air fryer was greasy. Other provisions were also missing or broken, i.e. no cover on the ironing board, no batteries in TV remote control, no mirrors in bedrooms, broken fans and lamps left in the cupboard and no decent hangers. Although the outside temperature was fairly cool and comfortable, and the heating was turned off, the apartment was far too warm. The only way to cool off was to keep the windows open which meant disturbed sleep due to late night revelers in the street below.

Dodgy

Myself and my husband arrived at 9pm on a Friday evening after a 5 hour drive. Instructions on how to find the parking were ok.. Following that, it went downhill. We were sent a picture of key boxes ehere we could gind keys yo the apartment. This picture, didn't match the set of boxes where we eventually found the keys! This took 20 mins. We were let into the actual building by someone else, who didn't ask us if we were allowed to be there. The lift wasn't working, which, wasnt an issue for us, as we are able to make it up 3 floors of stairs. However, on climbing the stairs, their were groups of lads on the landings, some lounging around, others punching each other. All, looked at us as if sizing us up. Made me feel unsafe. The flat itself, could be nice but needs redecorating and a lot of TLC. The bedding and pillows, the heaters hanging off the walls and the general condition of the apartment, I wasnt ever going to be sleeping there. We just didnt feel safe and after a 20 minute discussion, we decided that even though we'd already paid for our stay, to also pay for a hotel 10 minutes away. IF you are a group of big, burley lads, it might be ok. If you are a couple or girls/ladies, I wouldn't recommend. The area is dodgy to say the least. However, we did visit again on the Saturday during the day to show friends and in it didnt feel quite as bad but still retain that we made the right decision NOT to stay.

It was such a wonderful place Bcz very clean & tidy and also had all the facilities over there..!

We were struggling to use the ironing board bcz the cover didn’t fixed properly ( I mean top of the board cloth cover)) And also couldn’t find any kitchen tissues over there as well.
